    Description

    In 1975, the Krasnogorski plant began to produce a camera with code name NAILON (Nylon), which was based on the AJAX-12 but had a new lens, a built-in light meter, and a new central shutter with electronic control. The lens of the new camera was focused at constant distance of 7 meters. With preinstalled apertures of f / 2.9, 5.6, or 16, it could achieve a depth of field from 1.3 meters to infinity. A removable battery pack provided power to the exposure meter and operated the shutter. Unfortunately, the frame counter was also removed, and the NAILON was less convenient for the operational staff to use.
