Description
From the collection of Manfred Kallweit, owner of Pardee's Cameras in Sacramento CA. Closed 2015.1965-69 ALPA 9D REFLEX No. 48900, with original Kern-Macro-Switar 1:1.8/50mm lens with black aluminum Alpa lens cap, Alpa (crinkle finish) lens shade, original Alpa eye shade. This camera has been stored and locked away in a dry environment for 30 plus years.
Shutter works, and all shutter speeds seem accurate.
A testament to it's Swiss quality, and remarkable for a 55 plus year old camera. Mirror
dampener
foam should be refreshed.
This camera looks to have been nicely used, looking at the strap lugs. Otherwise, the chrome and leather are exceptional. Lens helicoids are smooth, aperture indexing: excellent.
Switar glass is almost like new. Barely visible edge fogging. Remarkable condition overall. I CAN NOT TELL YOU IF THE METER CAN BE BROUGHT TO LIFE. Perhaps it can. Maybe simply with the right battery. This camera used the long banned
PX625 1.35 volt.
mercury cell battery.
I've seen the lens sell for 00. 9D camera fluctuates. Shade up to 0.
I'm asking 00 for this classic combo.
Thank you for looking!
